Sat as I am in Starbucks just around the corner from the Tanzanian Embassy I have a bit of time to reflect on the weekend. I suppose the first thing to say is how I managed to get up at 6 am this morning. My right hip is killing me but hopefully that is just temporary, otherwise no reaction to the excersions of the weekend.
Here is my first thought of the week. We saw and made fun of lots of sheep who seemed to wander around aimlessly and precariously on steep hillsides and cliff edges. At times we even questioned why sheep behave the way they do and what is their point apart from an excellent compliment to mint sauce! But are we any different? This morning I along with several hundred others wedged myself into a long metal container on wheels in order to get transported from one spot to another. Some people pay thousands of pounds a year to repeat this experience every day of the week! Are we really any different to those sheep? Who is better off us or them? The comparison amuses me this morning.
