"Now at 3700m settling into camp on the second night. One or two of us have headaches and mild altitude sickness now but remain strong. Much steeper climb today and Kilomanjaro now towers above us. The porters ate looking after us well and the weather today has so far been glorious. Tonight we are camped near caves on a sheltered plateau surrounded by rocky outcrops. Looking forward to sleep tonight!"

Rest stop day 2 , 2 hours out from camp.

Made It To Camp: First Night

Made it to camp on the first night at 2700m. All well with group everyone is feeling fit. A fantastic start to our climb.

Welcome to Tanzania!
On route to starting our climb our Land Rover lost it's fan belt. No
problem we had lots of free help from the llocal school children.
